Growing up outside Washington D.C. I had the opportunity to follow national sports teams as well as being exposed to national and local news. Because of this experience I realized journalism was my calling since I wanted to be the one telling and reporting these stories, whether sports related or news of the day. For the last two years I have lived in a different part of the country, and it has taught me that no matter where you live there are always good stories to tell. Four months into my current job, my sports director left giving me a valuable learning opportunity - how to adapt and manage a sports department.
